This place was a unique experience. As a whole, these islands seemed more geared towards domestic tourists, but if you find yourself in Incheon with some time to spare, it’s definitely worth a visit. The Baemikkumi Garden Beach Art, despite some negative reviews about the entrance fee, offers a scenic and charming sculpture park by the sea.
The artistic value is apparent in the variety of sculptures displayed, though some might find them a bit bizarre or even erotic. The entrance fee of 2,000 won may seem a bit steep for some, but it does ensure that the number of visitors is relatively small, allowing for a more intimate experience. The beachside location provides a wonderful backdrop for the sculptures, and you can capture some fantastic photos.
The teahouse and pension facilities add to the convenience, offering a place to relax, enjoy a meal (seaweed bibimbap is highly recommended), and soak in the beautiful surroundings. The beach itself is picturesque, and if you’re into photography, you can capture some stunning shots of the rural Korean scenery and the unique art sculptures.
However, it’s worth noting that the sculptures might not be suitable for children, and the overall management of the park could use some improvement. Some visitors found the entrance fee unnecessary, especially considering the presence of damaged sculptures that can be viewed from the beach for free.
In summary, if you appreciate art, enjoy unique and somewhat unconventional sculptures, and don’t mind the entrance fee, Baemikkumi Garden Beach Art is a worthwhile stop. The charming seaside setting and the opportunity to capture memorable photos make it a distinctive and somewhat offbeat attraction in Incheon.
